GO Deeper : THE STRIKE GOLD SG11xx (Regular Series)

Hello,

As i mentioned before, i'm going to introduce each product from some great brands we carry in our store. Today, i'm going to bring you to know further and deeper about The Strike Gold Regular Series, SG11xx.
SG11xx - Regular Series
SG11xx is one of 4 current jean lines from The Strike Gold, it's called regular series. This denim has specification as these followed :
• 14oz unsanforized japanese selvage denim
• Pronounced slubbiness and hairiness
• GOLD Selvage Line
• Pure Indigo
• Deer Skin Leather Patch
• Iron Male - Copper Female Rivets
• Button Fly
• Made In Japan

Here they are some detailed pictures.
SG11xx - Regular Series - Back Side
Note the RED TAB at the right pocket. It's a great classic detail. Not all jean has that great detail nowadays. The Strike Gold carries this detail on their jeans, but not all retailers are able to get this detail come along with the jeans. There's a law in USA which prohibits red tab featured in any jean, except Levi's. But, we're able to provide you a jean which come along with all details. Nothing is missing!

SG11xx Fabric
The Fabric. it's a 14oz unsanforized japanese selvage. This fabric doesn't through any further treatments after they're woven. Yes, it's loomstate. the fabric is rigid and quite rough, pronounced slubbiness and hairiness as well.
Iron Button

Iron Male Rivet

The Male Rivets and Buttons are 100% Iron with reason. It will get rusty as an aging process along with the denim. Crazy? Yes!
Copper Female Rivet
While the Iron get rusty over time, the copper will have a green patina as its natural aging process. Nice!
GOLD Selvage Line
The Selvage line. This is one of many interesting details, i guess. It has Gold ID while most jeans have red ID as their identity.
The Pocket Bag
The pocket Bag. It's sturdy and deep which will accommodate us to put things inside more easily and last longer.

For me, 11xx is simply great. It's a perfect pair of jean to start with japanese denim. It has all the aspects in a great 'Made In Japan' jean. The weight is suitable for us who lives in this tropical country. The Fabric has great textures and characters. The details are not questionable. Last but not least, it ends at  "great deal" price. I believe this is the best pair of 'Made in Japan' jean at this price level.

We carry 11xx in 2 cuttings : 1105 (slim straight) and 1109 (Slim tapered).

Sizes : 28 - 34, 36 (Especially for 1105 is available in 38)

Sizing Advice : Go for your True size (TTS)

Price : IDR 2.750.000

Note : As stated before, this is an unsanforized jean. So, please consider a shrinkage after washing / soaking. Generally, 11xx will shrink 2-3" at inseam and 1-2" at waist depending the temperature of the water and the agitation level you did to the jean.

Brand Introduction (Part 3) : FULLCOUNT

Hello again!

Today we're going to introduce another great brand we carry at our store.

Fullcount is another top japanese denim brand, it has a long experience in this denim industry. Fullcount is the first japanese denim brand which uses 100% Zimbabwe Cotton for their denim. Initially, Mikiharu Tsujita, the founder, had been looking for the best cotton for making jeans. After doing a lot of tests, he decided to use Zimbabwe cotton as the quality stands out among the others.

Why Zimbabwe Cotton? Zimbabwe cotton is harvested by hand, not by machines like some other cottons. This hand-picking method ensures that the cotton is not damaged and keeps its originality. Thanks to the tropical climate in Zimbabwe, the cottons are able to grow larger and more abundantly. And because of they are only harvested once a year, the cottons fiber length are longer which results a very unique texture yet very comfortable denim. Now, it's common to find denim brands using Zimbabwe cotton, but it wasn't at that time. They made a breakthrough in denim industry and become a trendsetter.

Until now, Fullcount is still a strong brand. They stick with classic way of making their own denim fabric while they are doing continuous improvement in their products. Another great thing about Fullcount is their offering various of jeans cutting, from wide to narrow, loose to slim. So, you should be able to find a pair of Fullcount jean which fits you well.

Try a pair of Fullcount jean, it's gonna an easy job for you to distinguish its great quality and their passion in a pair of jean, from fabrics, stitching, and details. Mikiharu Tsujita says that Fullcount is only for the denim Purist. Personally, i must say "YES" about this. So, if you have a big passion in denim, especially a classic denim, Fullcount is a must pair of jean for you.

If you have any inquiries about Fullcount, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Thank you for reading!

Brand Introduction (Part 2) : THE FLAT HEAD

The Flat Head was founded in Nagano, Japan in 1996, and is known as a leading company in the Japanese denim business. The brand's founder, Mr. Masayoshi Kobayashi, took vintage denim (ranging from the 1920s to the 1960s) and deconstructed it to analyze the precise dyeing and construction techniques. They then combined time-tested traditional methods of construction with modern techniques and quality control to produce our own distinctive jeans. Mr. Kobayashi’s passion spread to a myriad of different types of clothing – including T-shirts, shoes, sweatshirts, jackets, and other accessories.

In order to create the highest-quality garments, They only use the very best materials that meet the demands of our strict quality control. Furthermore, only the most highly-skilled workers possess the capability to craft garments to our standard of quality.

The Flat Head's selvage denim is woven on old-style shuttle looms that creates no more than 50 meters of fabric per day. This is a time-consuming process, but results in a quality and texture that is distinct from other vintage-influenced brands, and is often superior to real vintage jeans.

An important characteristic of our jeans is a high-contrast fade. Flat Head’s denim receives twice as much indigo dye as most rope-dyed jeans – a process in which only the surface of the threads is dyed while the inside remains white. The fabric itself is unsanforized and completely loomstate – it is not treated in any way after weaving, resulting in a hairy, uneven denim with superior fading potential. The uneven weave of the warp threads gives the denim its variable, uneven feel, and this is what allows for our unique vertical fading to develop over time. As a result, our jeans can achieve high contrast between points of stress and the rest of the denim, such as the creases at the lap (whiskering), the surface of the thighs, and behind the knees (honeycombs.) Additionally, their denim and construction techniques create a durable pair of jeans you’ll enjoy wearing for years to come.

Individual evolution is the heart of The Flat Head’s philosophy, and your jeans and other items of clothing will change over time, fading and breaking in depending on your lifestyle and activities to create a truly personalized garment. As the founder Mr. Kobayashi says, a pair of Flat Head jeans has only half of its value when new; your jeans gain value as they crease and fade along with your lifestyle, and reach their fullest value when fully worn out. That’s the philosophy, and that’s what they mean when they say that at Flat Head, we are particular about our clothes.
